Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates in the FCI Memphis have a lot of time on their hands. That means they need something to do with all this free time.

One thing they can do with their free time instead of mingling with other fellow inmates is to write letters to their friends and family to tell them about their day and whatever else they please.

You can also send letters to the inmate as well. The FCI Memphis will ask you to please not send:

  • Staples

  • Drawings

  • Sexual content

  • Extra paper

  • Stamps

  • Extra envelopes

  • Stickers

  • Glitter

If your letter contains any of the following those items will be taken out and disposed of properly.

Sending Money

In the FCI Memphis will recommend you send money to an inmate using MoneyGram and Western Union. This way it gets to the inmate in a timely manner and it is easier for everyone involved.

Phone calls

Inmates can have a talk time of 300 minutes a month until October. Then during the two holiday months, they will be given an extra 100 minutes.

All calls are not private whatsoever. Your call WILL always be monitored.

Visitation

The most important thing to an inmate when they are in the FCI Memphis is being able to see family.

All families who would like to visit an inmate will need to fill out the application and wait to be approved. This process will take about 6 weeks from start to finish.

Everyone who wants to visit the inmate must be over the age of 18 as well.
