South Central Regional Office is nestled in Grand Prairie, Texas. This facility is a male only prison. The South Central Regional Office was built in 1999. There are currently 29595 inmates in this facility today. In the late 2000s the facility added 1,200 new beds to house more inmates. This is an upgrade compared to only having 500 beds before. 280 new inmates in 2015 arrived from Texas. These new inmates are all high security.
