About FCI Texarkana

FCI Texarkana opened in 1995 as an all-male facility in Texas. After CEO was transferred to FCI because he sold 60 million worth of stock anticipating the company’s collapse. In 2008 FCI Texarkana transformed into an all-female facility. There are currently 1246 female inmates. The Federal Bureau of Prisons oversees The FCI Texarkana.

Inmates can have a talk time of 300 minutes a month until October. Then during the two holiday months, they will be given an extra 100 minutes.
